Does alum stop you sweating?
No. Alum does not block or reduce sweat — it's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, and it isn't built to interfere with your sweat glands at all. What it's actually for is odour, and for most people chasing "less sweaty," odour control is the part that solves the problem anyway.
"I don't want to sweat" usually means something more specific
Sweating itself is a normal, healthy process — it's how your body regulates temperature, and stopping it isn't actually the goal most people have in mind.
